Between 2001 & 2006 we successfully re-integrated 75% of our children to their family or foster family and day schools. During 2007 this figure rose to 100%, of those children, 90% are still with their family and day school.
These successes include children referred to us from Years 5 & 6 (9 or 10 years old). Very often these children particularly benefit from the opportunity to safely enjoy experiences which they have missed out on in earlier years.
In 2008 we lauched our Next Steps initiative, extending our programme to help the small number of Appletree children who are unable to return to their families or foster families before their 13th birthday. Through Next Steps we can continue to provide Appletree's unique service for our children throughout their teenage years, based on their individual needs and until they are ready to progress.
